Ladybird will be a first in Manhattan as a plant based tapas restaurant and cocktail bar - entirely organic, vegan and supportive of all things local and sustainable. For years, a fringe, underground movement, veganism has taken root and is blossoming in mainstream culture. We find this to be an extremely positive and hopeful change. The vision for Ladybird is to reflect and empower the mindset of this exciting new wave of conscientious consumerism in the most hip, fun, and glamorous way.
Plants rule at this East Village vegan hotspot. The decor is earthy, candlelit and romantic, with a tree branch chandelier. The kitchen serves seasonally inspired vegan dishes – raw, seared and braised – that highlight the flavors and colors of the organic vegetables, fruits, legumes, nuts, herbs and spices used . A natural wine list complements nicely.

Honeybee's is a diamond in the rough between the dive bars and laundromats of the Lower East Side. A sultry and sophisticated saloon, paired with the casual and nostalgic air of down-home barbecue. Although our menu is plant-based, our dedication has produced the flavors, textures and aromas that confirm down-home cooking. Honeybee's is picked up straight from the classiest establishment in the Wild West and teleported to the cosmopolitan corner of Avenue A and 6th. Synergy is a large part of our concept. Harmony can be found throughout the property and begins with our bar and kitchen. The history and relationship between America and Mexico, the opposing concepts of Vegan Barbecue and the differences of an elevated beverage program with casual dining; all create a balance and commonality for all of our guests. The space is a moment of deja vu for the old spirits that wander in and an informative and fun experience for our guests looking for a texan night of whiskey and barbecue.

Although the name is reminiscent of riffraff, you will be hard-pressed to find that here. Proletariat, the strict craft beer bar, is a long, tattoo flash lined bar perfectly designed for an evening of trying something rare, new and unusual. With an extensive beer menu, knowledgeable staff and great music to boot, this is one spot on St. Mark's that is sure to keep you warmly occupied while learning maybe a thing or two about great beer from around the world.
